Keep up to date with all the latest . . .

After all, change is the only constant in this life!

We’re getting busy . . .

It’s that time of year when people head back into the studio or decide to give it a go for the first time, kick starting the year with new intentions. As we get busier, we will start putting more classes on but it is more important than ever to book your place on MindBody. Download the app or head to www.mindbodyonline.com to secure your place! Our new addition to the team, Rownak, is making his Wednesday 6pm slot one not to miss and starting this week we’ve got Helen Downey and Kate Gavin bringing you Rocket Saturdays 12-1.30pm - not for the feint hearted but loads of fun and a full workout! Workshop slots are getting booked up so make sure to check our socials and boards for deets. See you on the mat!!

Full capacity classes have resumed!

We are back to full capacity which means you can now drop in to class without booking and pay on the desk again! We have kept the one way system in place and are still mindful of ventilation to mitigate risk, as well as continued good cleaning practices, but it does feel closer to normal thankfully. Huzzah!

And we’re back . . .

Finally and hopefully for good!! We’re reopening with the same schedule we had last year and will start adding classes as we get back up to full speed again. The same restrictions on class size will be in place and we’re keeping it non-hot for now with the aim of adding hot classes back on the menu in the autumn. It just helps keep the bills down whilst we’re still operating below capacity and actually I think a lot of people have really taken to the non-hot! This lockdown has been a tough one to get through, we’ve loved seeing some of you on zoom but it’s just not the same as sharing your presence and energy together in our beautiful space. Your support is needed now more than ever so we hope to see you back on the mat in person very soon!

The last month we’ve had our second 200hr yoga teacher training course, 50hr yoga anatomy course and lots of mini courses running alongside! We’ve got new dates up for the next round coming to you from the 7th June and again on the 24th July. If any of these is of interest, head to our dedicated page for more details.

As ever, we’ve got an exciting mix of workshops booked in already with various different teachers and themes so keep your peepers peeled for those!

We’ve got lots of workshops and events coming up . . .

On Sunday 20th September 2-3.30pm we’re hosting a Tropic party! And it’s free to attend!! Let our very own Megs guide you through this beautiful vegan, cruelty free skincare range. Let us know you’re coming by visiting the event page on Megs’ Facebook page as spaces are limited @Yoga Megs or drop an email to: contactyogamegs@gmail.com

Starting Monday 21st and running early mornings 6-8am till the 25th September, we’re running a 5 day intensive Rocket yoga course with the lovely Julia Gavin! Based on the Ashtanga primary and secondary series, this playful adaptation is set to the beat so you’re sure to get a sweat on and dance through the moves! You can book at www.mindbodyonline.com or in the app as part of our schedule. £50 teachers/ concessions or £60 all inclusive.

In other news, we’re slowly building our classes back up. You might have noticed gentle candlelit is back on Thursday evening at 7.30pm with Pennie and as of this week, she’ll be taking on Yin classes on a Wednesday at 7.30pm. We’re starting with an hour long session for now and seeing how it goes so vote with your feet!! We’ve also added a second Sunday class with Sophie 11.30-12.30pm as the first was booking out! We wouldn’t want you to miss out so if we get to the point where classes are regularly booking out, we’ll add another in.

It’s so good to see so many of you back at the studio, it’s such a different experience to teaching online and we’re loving it! Thank you for your continued support as we try to navigate our way through these difficult times, we truly couldn’t do it without you!

We’re back…

We’re so unbelievably happy to be back open!! We have faith that our purpose built space lends itself well to making a safe place to practice. We’ve been working hard and have put a lot of things in place to ensure the safety of our staff and clients, some of which include:

  • The whole studio is laid out with social distancing markers with a one way system in place.

  • The counter top has a plastic barrier, plus masks and hand sanitiser for your use.

  • You will be given a number at reception that corresponds to your spot on the studio floor so everyone can enter and exit in order.

  • All lockers and showers are out of use, you can however drop personal items off in the change rooms.

  • All classes need to be pre-booked and prepaid with a 24hr cancellation policy in place as spaces are limited.

  • We would encourage you to bring your own mat and any aids such as blocks. We will sanitise any of our own equipment used after each class. Straps will not be available as they’re not easily sanitised so please bring one if you need it or we have them for sale in reception for £5.

  • All classes will be non-hot until the weather turns, with all doors and windows propped open to maximise ventilation and minimise high contact surfaces.

  • The teacher will face the same way as everyone else in class and will stick to their mat, so no adjustments or savasana massage (boo)

  • We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our studio but we have stepped up our cleaning protocols even further! There will be a lot of steam cleaning and sanitising going on after every class.

In other news, we have had a couple of teachers changes! Gina has given up her Monday evening class, (she’ll continue with her Sunday service), but will be replaced with a teacher you already know and love from her old Saturday class, the wonderful Kathy Lewis with a strong power yoga flow to start the week on a high! We’re losing Viki due to personal matters but her Tuesday beginners and her Saturday Ashtanga For All will be taken on by our studio owner, Lucita who promises to try to follow the style of Viki’s original classes. Faye has given up her Wednesday morning ashtanga class but will be back with pilates very soon; that class will be taken over by our lovely Megs. Thursday morning class is back with a creative flow from Lucita. Friday morning’s sivananda pre-weekend institution is being taken over from Di by her regular stand in, the brilliant Pennie.

We’re starting back with a reduced timetable but will be adding classes back in as we get back up to speed, and throwing some pilates into the mix!

We’ll keep you updated here as anything changes so make sure to check back!

Psssstt have you seen our beautiful new tiles in the ladies change??!
