Yoga Teacher Training is a great way to develop a practice and learn how to teach yoga. It is an intense experience but promises to be rewarding on both a physical and spiritual level.

To attend the course, you must be prepared to be physically and emotionally challenged. You need to be ready to dedicate 3 weeks of your time to your studies and practice. Most importantly, be ready to learn in a fun and progressive environment. This 200 hrs Yoga Teacher Training in Yoga Anatomy and Ashtanga Vinyasa is recognised by Yoga Alliance and will enable you to teach yoga worldwide.

Our 2024 course will run 28th September to 18th October Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm Saturday 11.30am to 5pm

The course will include the following modules:

Morning Practice:

Led Ashtanga Yoga or Vinyasa Flow

An intro to Meditation

Breathwork

Mantra Chanting

Rocket Yoga 1 & 2

Yoga Anatomy:

Learning Objective:

To understand the yoga anatomy associated with the postures of Ashtanga Yoga, knowing how to overcome physical limitations to develop and intelligent and personal practice. This will include:

Movement of the hip, shoulder, spine and knee joints

Origin and insertion to determine muscle functionality

Shoulder and hip stability

Posture analysis in detail

Common injury prevention

Teaching Methodology:

The pedagogy of teaching yoga including:

Building a yoga class commentary to provide accurate cuing and effective reminders

How to teach a modified class to cope with different abilities in a class

Simple sequencing for a Vinyasa Flow Class

Use of voice

The role of the modern yoga teacher

Teaching practice

Yoga Workshops:

Workshops will include Inversions, Backbending, The Perfect Chaturanga, Happy Hips and Journey to Handstand.

Yoga Humanities:

History and background of Ashtanga Yoga

The 8 Limbs as described in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras

Ongoing discussion and debate about how to be a ‘good yogi’ in the modern world that we live in today.
